Trips are a great way to meet new people, learn new skills and discover new places. A trip can be anything from a few hours mountain biking at Mt Stromlo to a full two weeks climbing hard at Mt Arapiles in Victoria. If you want to find out what trips are being run in the near future take a look at the Trip Calendar. While trips are usually activity-specific adventures, they can also be social activities or activities focussed on improving skills in certain areas such as first-aid or leadership.

Trip leaders are regular members of the club who have decided to put in the effort to take a bunch of us outdoors and share their experience. They are not tour guides! If you are thinking about leading a trip then all the info you need is here. More information about signing up and preparing for a trip is here.

Club members also enter competitions such as rogaines, mountain bike races ranging from 2 to 24 hours, kayaking races, and even team sports with regular games such as canoe polo. Subsidies are available for competitions.

The Club also ventures further afield. Recently members have been mountaineering in New Zealand and Alaska, where a team of four successfully climbed Denali, the highest peak in North America. The club has recently established an expedition fund to encourage more adventures.
